What Our Group Programs Look Like
Our programs are built around experience and community, not clinical language or illness focus. Every event is designed so your child can just be a kid — and every adult in the room can exhale.
Group program types include:

Love Bus group programs are exclusively for families navigating childhood cancer. Everyone who walks through the door is carrying a version of what you're carrying. That shared context changes everything — there's no need to explain your situation, manage anyone's reaction, or hold back. You can simply be present with your family and with people who get it.

The Sajni Center: Home of Love Bus
The center was named for Sajni Chakrabarti, a Love Bus child taken from us all far too soon in summer 2017. The name Sajni means "beloved" in Sanskrit, and perfectly captures the love our community feels for the brave and beautiful children we serve. Thanks to the support of Sajni's family and community, Love Bus was able to open her namesake Center in 2017 as a place for families like hers to gather and grow together.

Are there group programs for families with children with cancer in Massachusetts?
Yes. Love Bus runs group programs throughout the year, including aerial yoga and animal therapy experiences at the Sajni Center in Amesbury, MA; group therapeutic horsback riding at Ironstone Farm in Andover, MA; and creative and community programs at locations across eastern Massachusetts - and we're expanding! All programs are free to qualifying families.
What community activities does Love Bus offer for families dealing with pediatric cancer?
Love Bus group programs include equine therapy, art and creative experiences, music programs, nature-based activities, and whole-family community gatherings. All are designed around joy and connection rather than clinical focus, and all are free to qualifying New England families.
Who attends Love Bus group events?
Every attendee at a Love Bus group program is a family navigating childhood cancer — patients, their siblings, and their caregivers. The shared experience creates an environment where families feel immediately understood, without any need for explanation.
Please note: unless otherwise specified, programs are only open to immediate family members of a child who has/had cancer: siblings and parents/primary guardians. Extended family members are only able to join select programs, and most programs have a waitlist. Please be sure to contact us before signing up any extended family members.
